Work to build the Convention Center resumes in Paraíso

On Wednesday, the 10th, in the office of Mayor Celso Morais, a work order was signed for the construction of the Paraíso do Tocantins Convention Center, through the Municipal Secretariat for the Environment, Culture and Tourism.

According to Ubiratan Carvalho, the new signature of the service order is due to “the first winning company in the bidding process withdrew from the work and the process had to be redone to summon the second-placed company”. Also according to Ubiratan Carvalho, due to the withdrawal of the first winning company in the process, which had already started construction, a new approval from Caixa Econômica Federal and the Ministry of Culture was required. In this case, the work will now be carried out by Hikari Construções LTDA.

The budget for running the project comes from a federal resource and, according to Patrícia Nascimento, SEMACTUR's secretary, "the Convention Center is a space for educational events, fairs and other major events, since the space will have an auditorium and comprehensive education".
