Resocialization: Deputy Gutierres requests the installation of a diaper factory in the Cariri penitentiary

State deputy Gutierres Torquato requested the installation of a factory for the production of disposable diapers in the Penal Unit of Cariri, this Tuesday morning, 13, in ordinary session in the Legislative Assembly of Tocantins.

The purpose of the request is the rehabilitation and humanization of the prison system. “We need to think about re-socializing the detainees and encourage work so that they have the chance to learn new activities”, highlights Deputy Gutierres.

The diaper factory will use the detainees' labor force so that they have their time filled with activities that contribute to increase their self-esteem and appreciation, in addition to improving their quality of life.
