Dois Irmãos begins construction of Popular Houses with its own resources, for families drawn in a Mother's Day event

The social housing program is underway, by the city hall of Dois Irmãos do Tocantins, with its own resources to meet the demand of families from less favored classes, who still enjoy the right to own their own home.

The official announcement about the program was on May 13, when the city hall promoted an event in celebration of Mother's Day. With the measure, Mayor Brother Geciran Saraiva (PSD) plans to reduce the housing deficit, and finally promote the realization of the dream of owning a home, for less favored families.

The housing program of the social democratic management, foresees in this first round the construction of 20 housing units and later another 20 other popular houses. The rooms have a living room, bedroom and bathroom.
